Spicy Balkan Priglavke

Straight from the selo. 

These aren’t your average cozy socks. Our traditional Balkan Priglavke are handmade by our family neighbour, Dragana, in the small village of Rogolji, just outside Gradiška, Bosna, Republika Srpska.

Rogolji is the selo where my grandfather was born and where generations of my family come from. These priglavke are a little piece of that history, handmade the same way women in Balkan villages have been making them for generations.

Each pair is made by hand by Dragana, our neighbour in the village, so no two pairs are exactly alike. That’s the point. This is domaće, not mass-produced.

Yellow Priglavke
Handmade from real wool for that traditional, warm, straight-from-the-selo feel.

Pink Priglavke
Handmade in a bright pink coloured yarn because traditional doesn’t have to mean boring.

Wear them around the house, keep your feet warm through winter, or gift them to someone who understands that Balkan baba technology has been keeping feet warm long before heated floors were invented.
